OSTEOARTHRITIS
Back Pain
fractures normally lead to arthritis

If you've just been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis it can feel like a sledgehammer blow. I'm sure you already aware that Osteoarthritis (OA) can be a complex, painful, and debilitating condition. Yes, it will require careful management to minimise disease progression however, there is a lot we can do to assist this new era of self-care.

Medication is key, especially for helping nerves heal, but there is a balance. Relying on pharmaceuticals long term masks pain rather than helping to slow progression, and may have side effects. There is often a sequence of reciprocal cause and effect where pain reduces the range of motion, meaning muscles begin to weaken and even more pressure is loaded onto the joint, causing more pain.

Thankfully, management of the disease is improving all the time and there are many things to try.

K-laser works uniquely to anything else, by helping to:

  • reduce overall inflammation,

  • improve blood supply to poorly vascularised areas such as tendons and ligaments,

  • rebuild muscle, and

  • 'reset' over-sensitised nerves and reduce neuropathic pain.

It takes approximately 6-18 treatments to reduce the pain and get your mobility to a point where you can properly utilise other therapies such as physio & controlled exercise, to help restore fitness. Once musculature is rebuilt, top-ups once a month may be needed but we can play it by how your body responds.

I pain-score you pre, during, and post-treatment to ensure progress, and together we plan a holistic approach to the condition. Together we can help you glow again!
